Australian Office for Watermelon

Watermelon Research, the specialist digital company within Chime's CIE division, has announced the opening of an office in Sydney, its first in the Asia Pacific region. Company MD Mark Squires will oversee the setup and management of the new office.

Watermelon was launched in March 2012, and uses a range of data collection techniques from Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR), online surveys and communities to mobile surveys, eye tracking and social media monitoring.

Squires says he is looking forward to introducing Watermelon to Australia: 'The team is energetic, enthusiastic, and always looking for innovative ways to gain better insight through our digital offering'. Facts International CEO Crispin Beale, who leads Watermelon alongside Squires and Chime's Nick Lamb, adds: 'Watermelon understands the rigorous demands of modern research and is able to marry this with the vast capabilities of digital technology. Having already established a strong portfolio of global clients, we understand the market in APAC and the team cannot wait to get started in the new office in Sydney.'
