UK consultancy FreshMinds Research has merged with its sister social and digital agency FreshNetworks. The new innovation consultancy formed will be known simply as FreshMinds and will offer a combination of research, predictive data analytics and digital strategy services.Founded in 2000 by Caroline Plumb and Charlie Osmond, the London-based firm offers qual and quant techniques, business analysis and strategic thinking. Specialist social media agency FreshNetworks was launched seven years later, to help clients use social technologies to transform the way they develop relationships and engage with their customers.
Plumb (pictured) says the firms have been combined in response to the rapid advances in social and mobile technologies which have created opportunities for innovation and growth. By fusing digital, social and mobile client and enterprise data with insight, the merged business will aim to enable brands to understand both the 'what' and the 'why' of consumer behaviour.
'We recognised that as a business we needed to respond to the changing research landscape - embracing digital, mobile and social technologies as well as building out our predictive data analytics capabilities,' Plumb explains. 'This will enable our clients to bring new products to market more cost-effectively, at greater speed and with significantly lower risk.'
