In the US, marketing data management and analytics firm Beckon has raised $8m in a Series A round of funding.Beckon brings together data management, planning, reporting and analytics in a SaaS platform. Marketing data - including spending, interaction metrics, brand equity and lead generation - can then be aggregated, normalized, categorized, analyzed and viewed through a single proprietary dashboard.
The firm was founded in 2011 by Jennifer Zeszut and Jochen Frey, who earlier co-founded social media monitoring specialist Scout Labs, sold to social media networking solutions firm Lithium Technologies for $22.5m.
New funding has been led by Canaan Partners, and August Capital which led Beckon's $2m seed round.
