In New York, ad management platform Sizmek has acquired mobile tracking and retargeting specialist Aerify Media in a cash deal valued at $6.25m.The Aerify Media platform enables e-commerce companies to send any type of customer data from their mobile apps and web sites to a single source. Aerify then builds profiles around individual consumer behavior so that advertisers can target those users, and attribute cross-screen view and click actions to a purchase or to other actions. The company's analytics are then available to help marketers understand how a customer interacts with ads across screens.
As part of the acquisition, the entire Aerify Media team will join Sizmek, while Aerify's technology will be integrated into the Sizmek MDX platform, boosting its tracking, attribution and retargeting solutions across mobile and other channels.
