App Re-targeting Firm Accengage Raises $3m

January 14 2015

Paris, London and Tokyo-based app re-targeting specialist Accengage has raised $3m in funding, which it will use to expand its team and develop new product features.

Jérôme StiouiAccengage has developed a series of SaaS mobile marketing technologies for push notification, mobile retargeting and mobile tracking. These tools can also be used for custom audience segmentation, personalization and targeting in real-time, including geo-targeting.

The new funding has been led by OTC Agregator and Mobile First Alliance, and will also be used to expand Accengage's infrastructure to keep pace with its European growth. According to CEO and co-founder Jérôme Stioui (pictured), this growth has been particularly noticeable in France, where he says 95% of smartphone owners have the firm's technology installed on their devices.

'As the mobile market matures, we've seen app marketers shift away from solely concentrating on getting downloads to focusing more on actually improving the engagement, retention and conversion of acquired users', Stioui states. 'Accengage helps marketers to meet these objectives by enabling them to create automated, targeted and personalized cross-channel relationships with their customers in real-time.'
