App Annie to Open in Singapore

App store analytics firm App Annie is to open an office in Singapore, which will act as the centre of its operations across India and South East Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Oliver LoThe firm is privately held with more than 270 employees, headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in Amsterdam, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Moscow, New York, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo. Its Store Intelligence product helps clients understand the app ecosystem, while its Audience Intelligence tool offers publishers in-depth analysis of app users' demographics, related apps and sentiment data.

The firm raised $55m in a Series D round of funding in January, and has been using it to launch a new product called Usage Intelligence which provides active user and engagement trends across thousands of apps worldwide. The funds are also being used for product development, to fund potential M&A activity, and to accelerate international expansion.

The new office in Singapore will open in April with a team of ten employees. EVP of Marketing Oliver Lo (pictured) comments: 'As well as the explosive growth that we are seeing in the region, the new Singapore office is also about talent and community. This office means we can attract the best mobile talent in Asia-Pacific. We see a thriving ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, publishers, brands and agencies in that part of the world, and we want to invest in that.'
