Telmetics Tool Links Calls to Social Media Ads

In Canada, call and conversation analytics firm Telmetrics has introduced a methodology called 'Social Dynamic Number Insertion', which attributes phone calls to specific social media ads, and enables marketers to build detailed customer profiles.

Andrew OsmakThe service is currently available for ad programs on Facebook, LinkedIn, Yelp and Instagram, and allows users to track a customer's journey from their online or mobile activity through to a resulting phone conversation. By assigning a unique number to each visit from a 'click-to-call' button on social media, identifying the source of the call, as well as demographic information, the system measures social media advertising return on investment, tests social media ads, and targets new customers. Conversation analytics is then used to add depth to that information by building a customer profile and giving businesses feedback on how well their staff handled the call.
