Market Track Buys Ad Intelligence Firm Brandtale

In the US, advertising, brand and pricing intelligence specialist Market Track has acquired native ad competitive intelligence specialist Brandtale for an undisclosed sum.

Ben Darr, Eric Candino, and Jay WidlitzBrandtale was set up in 2015 by media industry execs Ben Darr, Eric Candino and Jay Widlitz. The firm offers a database containing several years' worth of branded content campaigns from more than 4,000 brands, and over 450 publishers. This proprietary technology monitors and classifies campaigns across web sites and various social media campaigns to provide brands, agencies, ad technology providers, and publishers with insights to help drive content innovation.

Following the acquisition, Brandtale will be combined with Market Track's competitive intelligence solutions, to enable clients to access and monitor creative across all media types, including competitors' ad campaigns.

Commenting on the acquisition, Market Track CEO Dennis Moore said: 'Branded content is one of the fastest growing areas of digital advertising, and Brandtale's real-time analysis will allow Market Track clients to further expand their view of the advertising competitive landscape'.
