Consumer behavioral marketing software firm BounceX has raised $37m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to expand to 600 employees globally during the next two years. From its offices in NYC, San Francisco and London, BounceX offers a 'People-Based Marketing Cloud', which includes a ConsumerID Graph using cookie-less technology to identify and target an audience across multiple devices. The graph is also used to understand consumers' onsite behavior in order to provide the most relevant messaging at the right time. In addition, the firm's Behavioral CMS solution identifies each user's purchase intent and position in the buyer journey, enabling marketers to generate a larger 'send pool' for triggered messages.
New funding has been led by Battery Ventures with participation from existing investors, Contour Venture Partners, Cross Creek Capital, Primary Venture Partners, Jason Finger and Rho Ventures. BounceX CEO Ryan Urban (pictured) comments: 'There are thousands of vendors out there, but few drive meaningful results and almost all take up the time, effort and energy of already-strapped marketing departments. BounceX was conceived to replace non-performing technologies by identifying a brand's consumers and providing the most relevant digital experience based on their behavior'.
