ArborXR Buys, Launches VR / AR Training Insights Suite

In Los Angeles, ArborXR, which helps its clients to deploy and manage VR & AR (collectively XR) devices at scale, has announced the acquisition of InformXR, a learning analytics platform for these devices, and will launch an analytics suite to be known as ArborXR Insights.

ArborXR's platform allows companies and educational institutions to install XR apps remotely, promising them flexibility, security and insights into the learning process. InformXR was built to provide analytics infrastructure for immersive learning, is led by founder Dan Kuykendall, and is ArborXR's first acquisition. Kuykendall will join the new owner along with his entire engineering and data science teams.

The new ArborXR Insights will allow users to capture learner performance data, prove ROI to stakeholders and seamlessly integrate VR into their existing learning systems. The new suite provides real-time data on learners, shareable dashboards and BI integration to help demonstrate ROI, rapid integration of VR into LMS platforms ('under ten minutes'), security data, cross-vendor interoperability, and go-anywhere tech. Content providers using the suite can call on the dashboards to prove training impact; slash development and deal-making time; and ship analytics 'in days' via a lightweight SDK and secure back-end.

ArborXR Insights is currently in closed beta with 40 customers and partners, to be opened for general availability this summer. ArborXR CEO Brad Scoggin (pictured) says that despite 'surging interest' in immersive training across industries, XR programs 'still operate in a data blind spot'. He adds: 'ArborXR Insights removes that blocker in minutes, not months - enabling teams to bring XR fully into their learning systems.'
