Steve Schlesinger has acquired a majority stake in Wordibly, the transcription services business spun out of recruitment and coding company Focus Forward. The latter's co-founder Kim Harrison will step back from Wordibly to concentrate on Focus Forward and on another venture, C8C.ai.Schlesinger was CEO of international data collection and research tech company Schlesinger Group for twenty years prior to 2022, and recently stepped back into the role on an interim basis for what is now known as Sago. He is a long-time investor in the research and data space and brings his decades of operational and strategic expertise to accelerate Wordibly's next phase, including expansion into new verticals.
Harrison will remain involved with Wordibly as an investor and strategic client. In addition to Focus Forward, she will now work on scaling C8C.ai, a studio network which delivers AI-ready scripted and unscripted datasets to teams building generative models across speech, vision and natural language. She comments: 'Wordibly has been a labor of love, and I'm incredibly proud of what we built. With Steve at the helm, I'm confident the company will continue to grow and serve clients with the same high standards.'
