New Rhetorik Tool Tackles Skills-Based B2B Targeting

May 22 2025

B2B intelligence provider Rhetorik has launched an AI-based product designed to transform the way marketers target individuals with particular skills within companies.

Meredith AmdurThe new tool, AI Skill Targeting, makes use of the company's proprietary 'SkillGraph' global database of people, companies and technology installs, analyzing billions of individuals' skills, industry experience and responsibilities, and promises to move marketers beyond 'vague' job titles and imprecise account-level filters to find the most relevant buyers and influencers for highly specific products and use cases.

Rhetorik says its advanced algorithms evaluate billions of attributes in addition to job titles - including skills, experiences, functional expertise, role seniority, budget responsibility, certifications, demonstrated knowledge and technical background - across more than 800 million professional profiles.

As an example, the firm says a digital manufacturing client faced challenges finding and reaching their ideal audience, with key engineers listed under vague job titles like 'Project Manager.' AI Skill Targeting allowed them to identify these individuals based on their expertise and familiarity with the company's technology, driving higher engagement rates and significantly improved campaign performance.

CEO Meredith Amdur (pictured) comments: 'For B2B marketers, finding the precise individuals receptive to your message has never been more critical, and a job title alone does not achieve this... We bring the power of talent analytics and precision recruiting tools to B2B marketing, helping businesses find the people most likely to engage with their message, and a new way to score high propensity accounts based on their workforce's underlying skills and technographic profile.'
