Senior APAC Hires for Human8

Insights consultancy Human8 has strengthened its senior team in the Asia-Pacific region, with the appointments of Sharanya Sitaraman as APAC Head of Qualitative and Culture, Jason Spencer as Head of China, and Colin Wong as APAC Customer Success Director.

Human8 is expert in the use of insight communities, backed up by other research tech including AI-based innovation techniques. Its c.700 people are spread across 22 offices, after making nine acquisitions in the last six years.

Sitaraman (pictured top) brings more than 25 years of experience in qualitative research, cultural insight and strategic storytelling, and formerly led the APAC business of Quantum Consumer Solutions, as Managing Partner. She spent more than sixteen years at the company, after spells at IMRB and Synovate.

Spencer (pictured middle) also brings around a quarter of a century of experience, including four years as MD of Kantar Insights in Hong Kong, four at Incite in Shanghai, and ten as MD of Millward Brown in Shanghai.

Wong (pictured below) previously worked for four years as APAC Head of Digital Acquisition at Dynata, as well as short spells at Toluna, QuestionPro and Survey Analytics. He was an Operations Manager for Human8 predecessor InSites Consulting, between 2009 and 2012. He also contributes in a part-time capacity to Australian MR association The Research Society, conference host Merlien and publisher Greenbook. In his new role he will focus on amplifying the power of online communities through AI-powered tools.
