G2 Buys unSurvey to Transform Product Reviews

June 13 2025

Global software marketplace G2 has announced the acquisition of unSurvey, whose platform conducts 'human-like', AI-moderated interviews.

Alex DavidG2 says it will embed unSurvey's conversational AI in all 180,000 plus of its product listings, from more than 3,600 customers, supporting 'a new kind of review experience... powered by real dialogue, context, and sentiment.' This promises software buyers and researchers access to 'richer, more insightful reviews, rooted in real, nuanced conversations' and aims to provide the reviewed companies with high quality customer feedback to inform their product development and messaging. Reviews can be submitted - and shared - via text, voice or video.

unSurvey is backed by start-up incubator Ycombinator and was co-founded by CEO Alex David (pictured), who comments: 'We built unSurvey to make meaningful conversations scalable, without sounding robotic or scripted. Joining G2 allows us to bring this technology to hundreds of thousands of software products and millions of users, providing unparalleled depth to reviews and expanding how they are gathered, understood, and used.'

unSurvey's founding team joins G2 and will work alongside its Product R&D team, leading a new AI solutions team. In addition to David, these include co-founder and CTO Andrej Žukov Gregorič, now G2's AI CTO; co-founder and CPO Praveen Maloo. Now G2's Senior Director of AI Product Management; and Rahul Kavale, formerly lead software engineer at unSurvey and now Principal AI Engineer at G2.

G2 co-founder and CEO Godard Abel comments: 'I'm incredibly optimistic about this next chapter for G2 and the impact it will have on our community. This is just the beginning of how we'll continue to innovate and help businesses reach their peak potential in the age of AI.'
