Norstat Buys Sample Solutions

European data collection firm Norstat has acquired Rotterdam-based Sample Solutions, which focuses on high-quality B2B and hard-to-reach B2C sample.

Norstat was established in Norway in 1997 and now has a presence throughout the Nordics and Baltic countries, as well as Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland and Ireland. The firm says the latest buy enhances its ability to deliver premium, verified B2B respondents across Europe while expanding its offerings to key public and private sector clients.

Sample Solutions was founded in 2010 and provides online and off-line samples, specialising in hard-to-reach target groups. Clients number more than 300 and include research agencies, consultancies, government bodies and academic institutions across Europe. With the acquisition, it will accelerate the roll-out of its B2B digital recruitment platform, broadening its reach and incorporating additional channels and data sources. Norstat's infrastructure will also help it to extend its Lifepanel probability panel into new markets, promising high quality data based on localised fieldwork in key European markets, for policy and social research, scientific and academic studies.

Carsten Broich, who will continue as MD of Sample Solutions, says the two firms have partnered for many years, delivering critical B2B projects to clients.
