Calix Launches Broadband Market Insights Hub
June 26 2025
In San Jose, California, broadband market data and managed services provider Calix has launched an insights hub, with intelligence on the operations of more than 1,500 customers of broadband service providers (BSPs).
BSPs of all sizes use Calix's end-to-end broadband platform, cloud and managed services to simplify their operations, subscriber engagement, and services; innovate for and engage with their customers and communities.
The new Calix Market Insights hub pulls together previously fragmented market data and provides 'interactive, frequently refreshed insights' to help those running BSPs make better and faster decisions. Examples of the kind of top-level trend information and insight provided are:
- Customer service now outranks speed and price in influencing subscriber loyalty.
- Net Promoter Score data shows satisfaction often drops sharply after two years of tenure
- The majority of unhappy subscribers never report issues, making proactive support critical to retention; and
- Beyond the speed of 100Mbps, faster service has little impact - and experience becomes the primary driver of satisfaction.
The service also provides competitive intelligence including pricing trends, performance insights, and a broadband availability and pricing map using Federal Communications Commission (FCC) data to help leaders visualize local competition. It also includes tools such as an ROI calculator, allowing users to forecast returns and map clear strategies.
John Durocher (pictured), Chief Customer Officer at Calix, comments, 'The launch of Calix Market Insights eliminates the guesswork - bringing the broadband intelligence this industry has long needed... Market Insights empowers leaders with the visibility and clarity to invest strategically, compete confidently, and drive growth. Future market winners will be those who harness intelligence effectively - and after years of helping our customers transform, we knew Market Insights would be invaluable to them.'
