European commercial radio broadcaster Bauer Media Audio has appointed Paul Eldon as Director of Measurement, overseeing audience analytics and performance tracking for all the company's broadcast and digital platforms.The 150-year-old family-owned Bauer Media Group comprises two main divisions, the other focused on magazine publishing - and employs more than 12,000 people. The Audio division boasts more than 57m listeners each week via stations in nine countries, with 23m UK listeners and stations including KISS, Absolute Radio, Magic, Jazz FM and Greatest Hits Radio - as well as a substantial podcast portfolio.
Eldon brings more than fifteen years of experience in media measurement, audience analytics and advertising technology, helping to progress in how audio is measured, valued and optimised. He worked as an RE at BMRB for four years and a Research manager at Nielsen for two before joining Ipsos in 2011 - he spent the next eleven years at the global group, latterly as Global Deployment Director, and since 2023 has worked as a Senior Product Manager at Triton Digital.
In his new role, he will work across all nine markets, aiming to strengthen the way they measure, manage and maximise the value of audio across both broadcast and digital platforms. He also joins the company's 'Risk, Responsibility & Resilience' leadership team.
