Brainlabs uses customer data to predict trends and identify audience strategies to sustain clients' long-term growth. In addition to a tech platform called Cortex, the firm offers expertise across planning, media, data, tech, creative and UX.
Unerman (pictured above) spent twenty-four years at MediaCom (and latterly EssenceMediaComX), including eleven as CSO, and more than seven as Chief Transformation Officer. She joined Brainlabs a year ago. Syal (pictured below) has spent five years at Brainlabs, after seven years at Essence, much of its MD, EMEA. Earlier employers included Carat and Walker Media, where he led the formation of the digital division.
In a post on LinkedIn, CEO Dan Gilbert said the two had left 'to pursue new opportunities and challenge themselves in different ways', and thanked them for 'helping further the evolution of Brainlabs from a once specialty PPC agency to now being a digital AOR for dozens of top brands - all in the span of a few years.'
Further details of Syal and Unerman's next steps are not known at this stage; and the firm has not to our knowledge announced details of replacements or a recruitment process.
