New Protobrand Suite Promises Quick but Deep Research

Full service MR consultancy Protobrand has announced a new suite of quick-turnaround behavioral science-based solutions called Nimble Explorations; and has launched the first tool within it, Topic Explorer.

Anders BengtssonProtobrand combines AI and behavioural science to deliver quant solutions for brand tracking, innovation and concept development, delving into the 'symbolic, emotional and functional dimensions' of consumer motivation and behavior. Earlier this year it entered a close partnership with Brandtrust, another firm with roots in the applied social and behavioral sciences, and in March it launched an AI interview tool called Convo, boasting an AI moderator 'skilled in the principles of behavioral science.'

Topic Explorer offers clients 'quick, deep, and contextual answers to tough, persistent research questions,' combining Convo's 'qual at scale' abilities with the behavioral science method Narrative Inquiry. The latter uses storytelling to explore how people make meaning of their experiences, and taps depth interviews, active listening, contextual analysis and collaborative interpretation to reveal subconscious patterns, identities and emotions behind behavior. The process typically takes about one week.
