In London, a company called Artificial Societies has launched its core product, AS, which uses a database of more than 500,000 AI personas to 'simulate human societies', and predict both trends and audience reactions to specific content and messaging.

The firm says AS has demonstrated more than 80% accuracy in predicting social media performance, a big improvement on the 62.5% it says is achieved by other 'traditional' large language models - its web site gives figures for Claude, Gemini and GPT-4o. The product can be used to optimize their product and marketing decisions, and facilitates experimentation by automatically generating ten content variations for comparative testing.
CEO and co-founder James He (pictured) comments: 'AS is designed to give users the courage to experiment and explore outside of their comfort zones with the reliability of enterprise-grade AI tools that truly expand human potential rather than replace it.' Jared Friedman, MD, Software and Group Partner at start-up incubator Y Combinator, says the product 'will expand what it means to do market research,' rather than simply competing for existing budgets.
