Further Funds for Data Company Pantomath

August 8 2025

In Cincinnati, Ohio, automated data observability and traceability platform Pantomath has announced a $30m series B funding, which will allow it to expand its offering 'beyond traditional data observability.' The firm has also added Quentin Clark, an MD at investor General Catalyst, to its Board of Directors.

Pantomath logoPantomath was founded in 2022 by former GE Aerospace big data and analytics leader Somesh Saxena, and provides real-time monitoring, AI-driven root-cause and impact analysis to help clients automate their data operations and improve the reliability of data. Two years ago it raised $14m in Series A funding.

With the latest investment, the company says it will develop into 'the Operating System for Data Operations' - funds will accelerate product innovation, go-to-market expansion, and strategic recruitment, to meet 'surging' enterprise demand for agentic automation of manual data reliability tasks.

'Enterprises today grapple with highly manual and reactive data operations,' says Saxena, 'to support their data pipelines and analytics products. 74% of organizations rely on downstream end-users to discover data reliability problems, leading to isolated manual troubleshooting and incident management that according to a CDO survey takes 90% of organizations hours to weeks to resolve. Data downtime, unreliable data, and failure to meet SLAs are common occurrences in large enterprises.'

The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from existing investors Sierra Ventures, Bowery Capital and Epic Ventures; and new backers Hitachi Ventures, Cintrifuse Capital and Foster Ventures.
