OnDemandIQ Partners for Japan, Korea Coverage

Singapore-based streaming analytics and audience measurement provider OnDemandIQ is expanding into Japan and South Korea, via a partnership with Tokyo-based MR firm INTAGE Inc.

OnDemandIQ logoLaunched at the end of last year and led by AMPD Research founder Anthony Dobson and TechEdge co-founder Andreas Velter, OnDemandIQ delivers data on platform and title-level performance for the main global, regional and local streaming video players. Its flagship AudienceIQ solution measures streaming consumption across smartphones, tablets, computers, set-top boxes and connected TVs (CTV). The firm began operations in Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, and says the latest expansion will provide new data for two markets where existing services focus mainly on mobile devices.

The deal will see INTAGE use its expertise in panel recruitment and maintenance to service domestic clients in Japan and South Korea, while OnDemandIQ provides advanced data science support, proprietary dashboard technology, and reporting tools to cater to international clients. Clients in the two countries will get viewing data for both local and global players, Including respondent-level data (RPD), for deeper analysis of viewer behaviour.

Panel recruitment is set to begin this quarter, with a full-service launch planned for the New Year. 'Partnering with INTAGE Inc., one of the most trusted research partners globally, is a tremendous milestone for OnDemandIQ,' says Dobson, adding that the deal gives his company 'near-complete coverage of the Asia region.'
