Four Appointments for UK's Explain MR

Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK-based full service agency Explain Market Research has announced the appointments of Helen Clegg and Simon Moll as Associate Insight Directors; Simisola Iyiola as Compliance Officer; and Pauline Trotry as Insight Officer.

Explain was set up in 1993 by husband and wife David and Gillian Shiel, and focuses on the utility, healthcare, finance, retail and social housing sectors, with clients across the UK. Early in 2020 the company was bought out by its management, with David Shiel selling his controlling 75% stake.

The firm says the new hires support its continued growth on the back of a number of high-profile national project wins. Clegg (pictured right) brings more than a decade of experience across sectors including utilities, finance, transport and technology, with a PhD in health promotion and an MSc in Social Research. Moll (pictured left) has more than two decades of research leadership experience from both agency and in-house roles, having previously led the market insight team at Northumbria University, and worked on global research at software company Sage.

Iyiola (pictured centre) will support GDPR, ISO and information security across the business, while Trotry holds a PhD in qualitative research and has experience of working on national and international projects.
