Emporia Expands to Offer Healthcare Recruitment

September 16 2025

In Austin, Texas, B2B participant recruitment specialist Emporia Research has announced its expansion into healthcare research, including recruitment of physicians, healthcare executives and clinical staff.

Michael HessEmporia offers B2B clients a platform called mrxCore, which automates parts of the research process, including participant recruitment and verification, survey creation, interview scheduling and incentive payments. In 2024 it secured $4.7m in Seed funding, for investment in AI, engineering, sales and data partnerships.

The firm says it has access to more than 10 million healthcare professionals across therapeutic specializations and niche subgroups. The new offering is built on Emporia's existing data quality layers, including LinkedIn data verification, a proprietary waterfall fraud detection layer called 'Pori', and third-party verified participants. Adding to this, for healthcare, the firm will use state medical board and NPI registry checks to ensure authenticity, professional expertise and compliance.

Co-founder and CTO Jake Roeland comments, 'We have invested heavily in building out our healthcare asset. While we know there is still a long way to go, we have focused on developing the ability to deeply profile healthcare professionals in ways that matter for research.' Co-founder and CEO Michael Hess adds: 'We see healthcare as a huge opportunity. For too long, healthcare research recruitment has been underserved and fragmented, with clients consistently asking for more. By bringing the same programmatic engine and rigorous fraud prevention we've used in B2B research, we can deliver a new level of value to the healthcare ecosystem.'
