Investment for Data Science Firm Datavault AI

US company Datavault AI Inc., a provider of AI-driven data visualization, valuation and monetization, has secured agreement for a $150m strategic investment from Scilex Holding Company. The money will be used to accelerate development of its supercomputing infrastructure, and grow its business specifically in the biotech sector.

Datavault logoAn initial tranche of c.$8m is available this week, with a further c.$142m expected to close following receipt of stockholder approval.

Headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, Datavault AI operates through two divisions, Acoustic Science and Data Science, with the latter using high-performance computing to provide solutions for experiential data perception, valuation and secure monetization in a range of industries including HPC software licensing for sports & entertainment, events & venues, biotech, education, fintech, real estate, healthcare and energy. Its Information Data Exchange solution (IDE) allows users to buy, sell and trade data 'securely and directly'. New investor Scilex, is headquartered in Palo Alto, California and focuses on acquiring, developing and commercializing non-opioid pain management products for the treatment of acute and chronic pain and neurodegenerative and cardiometabolic disease.
