Korean Funds for Digital Trend-Tracker Sensor Tower

Sensor Tower's intelligence solutions helps clients in more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide to understand consumer behavior and market performance across mobile apps, digital platforms and gaming ecosystems. Eighteen months ago it acquired mobile marketing firm data.ai, formerly known as App Annie; and in March 2025 it added London-based gaming intelligence platform Video Game Insights, expanding its coverage into PC and games console data. Also this year it launched a service called Web Insights, which provides actionable data on desktop and mobile web traffic and users sourced from its own first party panel data.

The firm's new investor Shinhan Securities Co., Ltd. is one of South Korea's largest securities brokerage and investment banking firms and is a subsidiary of Shinhan Financial Group. The firm joins existing backers Riverwood Capital, Paramark Ventures and Bain Capital Credit.

Among the developments the firm forecasts for this year, consumer are expected for the first time to more on non-gaming than on gaming apps, 'in part due to the rapid adoption of generative AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini.'
