Three PhDs Join BEESY

Applied behavioral science insights agency BEESY has appointed Marielle Machacek as a Research Director, Ashley Lima as Associate Behavioral Science Director and Rowan Forbes Shepherd as an Operations Associate.

Marielle Machacek, Ashley Lima and Rowan Forbes ShepherdBEESY, which was founded in 2018 by former Ipsos Marketing US chief Elys Roberts, helps clients in healthcare and biopharma sectors understand customers and market more effectively.

Machacek brings a decade of experience of behavioral research for commercial, military and academic organisations. With a PhD in Social Psychology and expertise in psychometrics, survey design and advanced statistical modeling, she joins from the Center for the Army Profession and Leadership, where she worked for more than three years as a Research Psychologist.

Lima has more than thirteen years of experience leading global research and strategy initiatives across around a dozen countries. She joins from USAID where she spent four and a half years as Behavioral Science Lead and a Senior Project Manager, and earlier worked at the CDC and the US Department of State. She holds a PhD and MPH in Health Promotion and Behavior.

Forbes Shepherd earned a PhD in Psychosocial Oncology Research from the University of Melbourne, and over the last decade has worked at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the National Cancer Institute, focused on research into psychosocial aspects of cancer, to improve patient care and delivery.
