In Copenhagen, Kantar Media has announced an agreement with TRP Research, making its TechEdge software division the exclusive global technology provider for TRP's AudEx data visualisation and reporting platform.
WPP - then the owner of Kantar Media - first bought a stake in Danish TAM analysis software company TechEdge more than ten years ago, and it now forms a division within Kantar Media providing tools for accessing and analysing audience data. TRP's AudEx's portal provides a customisable summary view of the TV and VOD (video on demand) landscape, including how specific channels, platforms and content are performing against a wide range of bespoke metrics - this will now be enhanced by TechEdge's capacity to handle large amounts of cross-media data and its robust calculation engine.
AudEx now forms part of TechEdge's broader analytics portfolio, which includes AdvantEdge for analysis, K2 for planning and optimisation and KxM for cross-media optimisation. With immediate effect, UK-based TechEdge users can access AudEx's dashboards, with no coding, configuration or technical expertise required. The service will roll out internationally in the near future, via TechEdge's presence in more than 70 markets worldwide.
Søren Holmberg Andersen, Executive MD of TechEdge, says AudEx is 'an ideal complement' to the TechEdge's established data processing and analytical capabilities, adding: 'Today's announcement enables users to derive more value from their data with simple, ready-to-use visualisations to understand audience performance.' TRP's Chief Executive David Raybould (pictured) comments: 'We're delighted to see AudEx reach more users in more markets through this partnership. Partnering with TechEdge will enable world-leading broadcasters, agencies and advertisers to access a clear, visual understanding of their content, audiences and trends enabling faster, more confident decision-making and driving media intelligence through their organisations.'
