Nielsen has appointed former Netflix and Hulu ad sales leader Peter Naylor in the new role of Chief Client Officer.
Naylor (pictured) brings more than two decades of experience as a global ad sales executive, is a former IAB Chairman and worked as EVP, Digital Media Sales for NBCUniversal. At Netflix, he played a key role in developing the advertising business, and earlier he worked at Snap, Hulu and NBCU, building strategies and teams that launched advertising products and digital content offerings. In May this year he joined the board of real-time attribution and measurement data firm Kochava.
In his new role, he will work with Nielsen's sales, product and research teams, with a remit to ensure its solutions fit the needs of client including both digital and traditional media channels.
He reports directly to Nielsen CEO Karthik Rao, who comments: 'The key to Nielsen's continued success is working closely with our clients to build the best marketing intelligence platform in the world. Peter is the perfect person to help that mission, building on Nielsen's momentum of Big Data + Panel measurement, live streaming innovation and our AI transformation. He has led teams across linear TV, streaming and social media. He knows what consumers and clients want - and need - as behaviors continue to evolve.'
