Ahad Joins Cint to Lead New Data Unit

Cint has appointed Phil Ahad as Managing Director, Data, tasked with creating and leading a 'Data' business unit which will channel its existing data assets and emerging tech to create new options for clients.

Cint gives its clients access to a network of more than 800 suppliers representing millions of engaged respondents in more than 130 countries, via its Cint Exchange marketplace. The firm says this access to 'one of the largest and most diverse' troves of data in the MR industry gives it a strong foundation for building 'deeper profiling capabilities and more advanced insight solutions.' Combining this with AI and machine learning tech will enable it to offer more comprehensive data, richer context, and a wider range of insight solutions.

The new unit will focus on licensing data and the development of new solutions including synthetic and digital twin capabilities, aiming to give clients a choice of accessing insights through traditional panel-based data collection, these new methods, or a hybrid of both. Cint has already - In August this year - beta released an AI Study Companion called Luci, built into its newly redesigned Lucid Measurement solution.

Ahad (pictured) brings more than two decades of experience as a growth strategist and creator. He worked briefly at AOL and Comscore before joining CoStar Group in 2007 as Senior Manager, Product Marketing and Analytics; and then Medmarc Insurance Group as Director, Digital Marketing and Strategy. In April 2012 he moved to Toluna, serving as VP of its QuickSurveys product, and was promoted through SVP and EVP to Chief Digital and Product Officer for the group by April 2019. Fifteen months ago he joined PureSpectrum as its first Chief Innovation Officer, with a focus on guiding and channeling AI investment.

In his new role, Ahad will work across teams to unify and advance Cint's data strategy, and will report directly to CEO Patrick Comer, who comments: 'Phil brings a thoughtful and forward-looking approach to data strategy.
