Fathom Goes Deeper with New AI Assistant

December 12 2025

Research software provider Fathom has launched an AI assistant called Fathomer, extending its existing thematic open-ended coding offer into a continuous research 'engine' answering questions and synthesizing reports from multiple surveys, including longitudinal analysis over time.

Fathom logoUsers can ask Fathomer 'far more complex research questions and receive far more thorough and sophisticated results than with standard chat tools,' according to the company - generating hypotheses, comparing segments and offering full transparency at each stage, in an iterative process with continuing opportunity for input from humans.

Fathomer promises to understand the drivers of behavior, uncovering attributes like satisfaction, NPS, likelihood to adopt, time on platform, and churn risk. It can also draw from multiple questions or surveys to outline coherent personas rooted in the data; and cluster themes occurring together, with links to the corresponding outcomes.

The enhanced product is available today for current Fathom customers, and new customers will have access early in 2026.
