Experian Seeking New Chair

January 8 2026

Consumer data giant Experian has announced that its Chairman Mike Rogers will step down in July. He leaves the firm's Board after nine years, seven of them in the Chair.

Mike RogersWith its roots in Nottingham, UK and its current corporate HQ in Dublin, Experian employs more than 25,000 people across 32 countries. The group's huge consumer datasets and wide-ranging solutions help to facilitate secure lending and borrowing, uncover and prevent fraud, simplify healthcare and deliver digital marketing solutions. Its offer includes segmentation solutions and behavioural analytics, and it contributes ID graph / matching expertise to a partnership with Nielsen, among many other collaborations.

After leaving the roles at Experian's AGM on 22nd July, Rogers will take the Chair of financial firms Nationwide, Virgin Money and Clydesdale Bank, succeeding Kevin Parry. The Experian Board's Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee says it has commenced the process of appointing a successor, led by its Senior Independent Director Alison Brittain.

Rogers says it has been a privilege 'to work with such a highly talented team, with its outstanding and dynamic culture,' and that he leaves the firm 'well-positioned for the next phase of its journey.' CEO Brian Cassin, thanking him on behalf of the Board, states: 'As Chair he has led an open and constructive Board environment, stimulated robust debate and has provided highly effective governance and stewardship. We wish Mike every success in his future endeavours.'
