Integration for Fair Response and Research Defender

January 26 2026

In the US, consumer research solutions firm Fair Response Partners is integrating technology from Research Defender, to combat fraud and offer clients enhanced data quality in its Fair Opinions Panel.

LogosFair Response was launched in March last year by Matt Gershner and John Taliercio, veterans of Borderless Access, Remesh and greenBook, and aims 'to inject fresh investment into the supply of online sample while improving the experience and compensation for survey respondents'. Research Defender, which matches respondents to relevant surveys and prevents sample fraud / duplication, is a product of New Orleans-based RepData, founded in 2019 by former Lucid and Research Now exec Patrick Stokes.

The firms say the new partnership will help proactively identify fraudulent activity, eliminate duplicate or automated responses, and help the US-based Fair Opinions panel to 'scale responsibly.' CEO and co-founder Matt Gershner comments: 'Data quality is the foundation of everything we do at Fair Response. Our partnership with Research Defender reinforces that commitment by adding an extra layer of security and confidence to the insights we deliver. Protecting the integrity of the Fair Opinions panel ensures that our clients and partners continue to receive data they can trust.'

'We're thrilled to support Fair Response in their mission to raise the standard for respondent quality,' says Stokes. 'By integrating our fraud prevention solutions, Fair Response is demonstrating leadership in protecting researchers and their clients from the growing threat of survey fraud.'
