$2.5m for Gamer Conversation Analyst Levellr

Levellr, which helps studios and brands understand gamer behavior by analysing conversations on gaming community Discord, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding. The money will be used to accelerate product development and expand the business.

Discord now boasts more than 200 million monthly active users, but Levellr says most studios don't have the ability to connect its content with what's happening in their business. The company provides real-time intelligence on clients' most valuable users - both from their own words and a variety of other engagement signals - for purposes including mitigation of user churn and increasing lifetime value. Specific tools include a Social Listening dashboard, which surfaces what players are talking about across the community, clustered by topic and with real-time sentiment analysis; and Search Insights, a conversational interface where teams can ask specific questions such as 'What bugs are preventing players from completing Level 23? - and get weighted, contextual answers drawn directly from user conversations.

The firm also prides itself on helping clients distinguish signal from noise - distinguishing 'true impact from isolated noise, memes and negativity,' and telling them 'when to act and when not to overreact.'

The round was led by Fuel Ventures, with a number of high-profile founders and operators from the sector, including the founder and CEO of Zynga.

With the new funding, Levellr will accelerate its building of software connecting community behavior and product KPIs, including monitoring of signals from other platforms such as Reddit. It will also speed development of agentic solutions, which will surface recommendations and act on player feedback automatically.
