Two Appointments for Social Researcher M.E.L

Birmingham, UK-based social research agency M.E.L Research has strengthened its evaluation capability and face-to-face fieldwork delivery with the appointments of Dr Bianca Bailey Wilson as Head of Evaluation and Amanda Brightman as Field Team Manager.

The company work in sectors including health, education, waste and resource, wellbeing, housing and development, policing and community resilience, arts, culture and heritage, transport and infrastructure, as well as employee and customer/citizen experience.

Wilson brings fifteen years of experience in the sector, with expertise spanning local communities and regeneration, energy and environment, education, children and families, and health. She spent two years at the National Literacy Trust before joining Imperial College London in 2013 as a PhD Researcher & Programme Evaluator. After this, starting in 2017, she spent eighteen months as Enterprise & Partnerships Fellow and Enterprise and Research Development Manager at the University of Greenwich, followed by five years agency side, most of them as a Project Director & CEDI Expert for Research and Communities, at ClearView Research Ltd, and the remainder in short spells at Ipsos and Accent MR.

Brightman's appointment strengthens the company's delivery of face-to-face fieldwork for qual and quant projects. She worked in operational roles in consumer services and fraud prevention - including four years apiece at Equifax and Certegy Transax - before moving into market research. For the last nearly five years she has worked at DJS Research, across CATI, quality and compliance, and field and recruitment.
