Singapore MR and data agency Milieu Insight has announced changes in its senior leadership, with Gaurang Kotak appointed as COO. Founders Gerald Ang and Juda Kanaprach, formerly COO and Chief Commercial Officer / CMO respectively, will move into advisory roles, albeit closely involved with the company.
Milieu's offering is based around a survey and data analytics software platform called Canvas, which promises intuitive tools for survey design and distribution, data analysis, visualisation and reporting.
The senior restructure is intended to accelerate the company's expansion across Southeast Asia and international markets. To this end, Milieu is also expanding its regional leadership with the creation of a CEO of Southeast Asia role, expected to be filled later this month.
Kotak, who started last week, will spearhead the company's operational strategy across its global footprint. He brings in-depth expertise across consumer research, innovation and retail analytics, including leadership of strategic initiatives across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He joins from NielsenIQ, where he held successive leadership positions across the Gulf States, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia; and before this he worked at YouGov, Yahoo! Inc. and Merkle Research.
He reports to Group CEO Sundip Chahal, who states: 'This is a big step forward for Milieu as we scale. Bringing Gaurang in as COO is about stronger execution, clearer accountability, and faster decision-making across the business. I also look forward to working with Gerald and Juda in their new roles. Their work created the platform we are building on now as we continue to grow across Southeast Asia and beyond.'
Ang and Kanaprach will continue to support the company's long-term direction by advising on vision, innovation, and strategic partnerships, while working closely with the leadership team.
