Circana Adds Retail, Financial and AI Expertise to Board

In Chicago, consumer data giant Circana has appointed new Board members: Brian Cornell, Executive Chair of Target Corp.; Lauren Cooks Levitan, ROOT co-founder and Lead Independent Director at e.l.f. Beauty; and Rohit Prasad, former Head of Artificial General Intelligence at Amazon.

Circana was created following the 2022 merger of global consumer data firms IRI and The NPD Group. The company's core platform is the long-established former IRI product LiquidData, to which it has recently added LiquidAI, and an option for smaller clients, Liquid Data Go. Last week it launched Attribute Marketplace, a platform allowing clients to browse external datasets, select the attributes they need, and use them to enhance their current data and analyses.

In addition to Target, Cornell has held senior leadership roles at PepsiCo and Michaels Stores, Inc., and brings experience leading global brands and retailers through complex consumer and market shifts.

Cooks Levitan is a financial leader with extensive experience guiding high-growth, global companies through transformation. Before ROOT, she was President and CFO of Faire Wholesale, Inc., CFO of Fanatics, Inc., founding partner at Moxie Capital, LLC, and MD of both Cowen and Company LLC and Robertson Stephens.

Prasad helped shape Amazon's AI strategy for more than a decade, including work on developing in-home assistant Alexa; and more recently development of the retail phenomenon's frontier model family, Nova, which is used by tens of thousands of enterprise customers.
