Funding for Agentic Customer Journey Optimizer Kana

February 20 2026

San Francisco-based customer journey analysis and optimization company Kana has secured $15 million in seed funding, with which to expand its engineering, product and go-to-market teams.

Tom ChavezFounded by serial entrepreneurs Tom Chavez and Vivek Vaidya, Kana provides agentic AI solutions, 'highly aligned but loosely coupled', helping marketing teams harness their companies' own data to 'learn, predict, and optimize every step of the customer journey', and thereby boost growth and improve operational efficiency. Outcomes are measurable, and users can review and approve outputs before deployment, as well as correcting and coaching AI engines in the flow of work, to ensure quality and alignment with company style and objectives.

The firm says clients are already using the tools for media planning, campaign optimization, AI engine optimization, proposal and reporting automation, and market research. The last makes use of first-party 'seed' data to create 'larger reservoirs' of modelled synthetic data, driving better personalization, targeting, segmentation and measurement at scale.

'Modern marketers and media companies know they need to invest in AI,' says CEO Chavez (pictured), 'but too many of the available alternatives are tools and infrastructure in search of a specific business purpose. Kana provides a 'third path' by engineering custom agentic applications that solve specific marketing and data challenges in a matter of minutes or hours, rather than days or months. By understanding their priorities, Kana meets marketers where they are, integrates seamlessly with the tech stacks they already use, and activates outputs and outcomes their team can see, control, and approve before anything goes live.'
