Infotools Unveils new Harmoni, Adds GenAI Companion

March 9 2026

In Auckland, New Zealand, MR analysis and reporting company Infotools has announced an upgrade to its Harmoni insights platform. Harmoni 3 is described as the platform's 'most significant evolution to date,' and includes GenAI research companion ChatHarmoni.

John BirdInfotools was established in 1990, became part of Ipsos in 2021, and operates across the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The Harmoni platform, which first appeared in 2017, has now been 'completely re-engineered' to give significant speed and processing-power enhancements, with an upgraded interface promising 'more fluid, collaborative and global' exploration, with drag-and-drop interactions, customizable dashboards, automatic data-flow scheduling and bi-directional multiple nesting for complex and granular table investigation.

ChatHarmoni works alongside execs to help them uncover meaning and understanding in data. The tool uses a secure AI gateway to provide data-protected access to a number of different commercial LLMs, providing an 'enterprise-grade, closed environment ...developed, trained, and refined by Ipsos specifically for the market research and insights industry.'

'We've spent more than 36 years refining how researchers interact with survey data,' notes CEO Ant Franklin, 'by developing innovative tools that maintain a high level of rigor, transparency and curiosity that define good research. ChatHarmoni directs researchers toward what matters most, and makes them even more efficient when using the time-tested strengths of Harmoni as part of their insight generation processes.' For clients that are 'more comfortable' using their own AI environments, Harmoni's AI functionality can be configured to let organizations use their existing LLM billing accounts.

John Bird (pictured), the firm's EVP Client Development comments: 'H3 brings data, automation and visualization together in one environment so teams can deliver more consistent insights faster than ever to their stakeholders.'
