Wheelock Returns to Tech Insights Firm Omdia

Tech research and advisory company Omdia, a part of b2b data group Informa TechTarget, has brought back its former CRO Clint Wheelock as Head of Go-to-Market Insights and Advisory; and appointed Jean-Franç:ois Pigeon as Chief Commercial Officer.

US-based b2b purchase intent specialist TechTarget was acquired by UK business services company Informa Plc in 2024. Omdia is a sister company of Information Week, within the group.

Wheelock (pictured above) was Omdia's inaugural Chief Research Officer, having joined Informa with its acquisition of his company Tractica. He also founded and led Pike Research and - most recently - Dash Network, and has served as EVP of tech sector MR firm Heavy Reading. In his new role he will bring his extensive experience building, scaling and leading research businesses to bear on driving the development of Omdia's go-to-market insights and advisory offerings.

Pigeon (pictured below) previously held senior roles at Synamedia, Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent, and brings experience from the integration of TechTarget and Informa Tech, as well as global sales integration during the telecoms mega-merger of Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. He will now oversee Omdia's commercial operations including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Revenue Operations.
