New Chairman for Similarweb

Tel Aviv-based market intelligence company Similarweb has appointed Harel Beit-On, a member of its Board of Directors since 2017, as Chairman.

Similarweb provides software to help clients understand online behavior, including that of visitors to sites similar to their own. In the last two years the firm has acquired Chilean ad intelligence specialist Admetricks and Swiss app intelligence provider 42matters; and in February it announced a 13% rise in revenue for 2025, to $282.6m.

Beit-On (pictured) brings to his new role more than 30 years of experience in leadership positions and investment in technology companies. He is a co-founder and General Partner of the Viola Group and founder of Viola Growth. He worked previously as CEO, President and Chairman of process management software firm Tecnomatix, leading the company through its sale to UGS; and as Chairman of ECtel and Lumenis. He holds a BA in Economics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
