Amazon Veteran Bouffard Joins Circana in HR & AI Role

Former Amazon HR and AI leader Hélène Bouffard has joined Circana as Chief People Officer.

Circana was created following the 2022 merger of global consumer data firms IRI and The NPD Group. Its solutions are based around a core and long-established product, LiquidData, updated recently with the addition of LiquidAI; and Attribute Marketplace, which allows clients to browse and select attributes from external datasets.

Bouffard (pictured) brings more than 25 years of HR leadership experience, two thirds of it at Amazon, where she was most recently Director of Human Resources and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), helping to 'build the people foundation for the company's AGI organization'. Earlier in her stay at the digital retail giant she served as Director of Human Resources for Devices and Services, supporting the global teams behind Alexa, Kindle, Echo and Ring.

In her new role she will oversee global HR operations and play a central role in aligning roles, skills, and workforce design with the company's AI-first strategy - this includes organizational design and cultural transformation as the company 'accelerates its adoption of advanced technology.'

President and CEO Stuart Aitken says Bouffard brings 'deep expertise in defining people strategies that enable growth and transformation.' He continues: 'Hélène knows how to build the culture, leadership strength, and operating rhythms required for AI-enabled organizations.'
