UK-based programmatic media company MiQ is acquiring LatAm-focused mobile app growth specialist Rocket Lab.
Established in Mexico in 2019, Rocket Lab helps client companies with attraction, acquisition and engagement strategies. The company now has a presence across Latin America (also including Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay), and EMEA, working principally for clients in retail, finance and e-commerce.
Rocket Lab will operate as an independent business unit under MiQ's ownership and continue to be led by Juan Echavarria Coll as CEO, with no changes to the organizational structure of either company.
MiQ says the buy strengthens its mobile in-app capabilities, enhances its Sigma AI-powered operating system, and boosts its regional expansion, combining Rocket Lab's deep in-app expertise with its own omnichannel offering to deliver an end-to-end solution for clients across media. Specifically, it adds a trove of mobile and regional data to MiQ's existing ecosystem which boasts '700 trillion signals'. The buy follows MiQ's recent acquisition of Adsmovil.
MiQ co-founder and Global CEO Gurman Hundal (pictured) states: 'With Rocket Lab's expertise, we can offer even more tailored solutions that drive real business outcomes, ensuring our clients stay ahead in an increasingly mobile and connected world. We will use Rocket Lab's rich data and capabilities to unlock powerful new insights - especially for those looking to grow in dynamic markets across Latin America and Asia.' Coll adds: 'Combining our mobile strategy with MiQ's AI-powered technology reinforces our positioning as an App Growth Hub, bringing unparalleled strength to our multisolutions ecosystem and accelerating how brands scale their apps globally.'
