US-based market research consultancy Smarty Pants has launched GENspiration, a series of free live focus group sessions promising attendees better understanding of consumers in a different generation each month, beginning with Baby Boomers on 14th April.
Smarty Pants leads foundational, evaluative and tracking research in more than 50 countries, helping clients with product innovation, brand positioning and marketing strategy. The Baby Boomers event will kick off with a short foundational presentation on the untapped opportunities among this generation, followed by a discussion with consumers aged 62-81. Discussions with Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha will follow. All will be focused on surfacing the attitudes, behavior and formative experiences that influence decision-making, offering brands 'a richer, more nuanced understanding of their targets.'
Company founder and 'Chief Smarty Pants' Wynne Tyree comments: 'Perhaps more than ever, it is critical for developers and marketers to truly listen to what consumers are thinking and feeling. GENspiration creates space for businesses and brands to lean in, uncover human truths and apply those learnings to smarter growth strategies.'
Each hour-long, unscripted session will discuss topics including passions, fears, aspirations, family dynamics, media habits, media engagement, financial priorities and generational reflections.
