New York-based Qualitate has raised a $7 million Seed round of funding, with which to accelerate development of its platform automating expert research for investment and strategy teams.
Qualitate's AI moderator runs the full primary research process from study design and expert recruitment, to interview moderation and analysis. The platform interviews thousands of experts each month about their plans and views, and turns these into quantified, time-series outputs tracking more than 10,000 public and private companies. The data can be queried in natural language, can be integrated with clients own proprietary information, and the moderator learns as it goes.
Current use cases include competitive intelligence workflows, including win/loss analysis and churn studies, and tracking of competitors and forward-looking signals; validation of company traction and analysis of competitive position by private equity teams, hedge funds and public market investors; and identification of shifts in customer demand in real time. Qualitate now boasts 'the world's largest and fastest-growing AI-moderated transcript library,' featuring over 350,000 minutes of expert discussions, with 10,000+ new minutes added every week.
According to founder and CEO Sagar Kadakia, 'Qualitate's mission is to give every investor and corporation access to real-time expert intelligence. Our AI moderator draws on the combined knowledge of thousands of experts to think and ask questions better than even the most senior analysts. Customers get higher-quality intelligence in days instead of weeks - at one-third the cost.'
The round was led by IA Ventures and Crew Capital, with participation from a number of angel investors.
