HFS Takes New Direction with 'Data Intelligence Suite'

May 7 2026

Technology and services analyst HFS Research has unveiled a new decisioning platform called the Data Intelligence Suite. The launch marks an evolution for the firm, away from the 'traditional analyst model' and towards 'proprietary data, structured intelligence, and the ability to interact with it in real time.'

Phil FershtHFS works for major enterprises, tech firms and service providers, helping them face business challenges, innovate and 'make bold moves'. The firm says its analysts stand apart for their 'deep, real-world experience in the subjects they cover', including personal engagement with industry leaders; and their up-to-the-minute understanding of key industry sectors, market trends and competitive pressures.

The latest 'bold move' by the company itself reflects its belief that information is now abundant and easily replicated - HFS suggests that 'Even with the rise of AI, access to information has increased, but confidence in that information has not.' The new platform is an alternative to 'more reports' and 'more commentary', and is described by CEO Phil Fersht (pictured) as 'a foundation of proprietary, real-world data that reflects how enterprises are operating, investing, and evolving.'

The suite brings together four core datasets:

  • A library of more than 1,800 real-world AI deployments, showing what is delivering measurable outcomes
  • Intelligence on the structure and progress of more than 1,500 global capability centers
  • A proprietary index of data on enterprise priorities and investment direction, and
  • Independent benchmarking data for pricing, performance, and commercial models.
