Quest Mindshare Integrates dtect Anti-Fraud Platform

In Canada, research services company Quest Mindshare is integrating its sister company dtect, an anti-fraud platform, with the aim of bringing 'a new standard of transparency' to its work.

Based in Oakville, Ontario, the firms are part of Quest Global Research Group, which provides digital MR services in more than 70 markets and also includes panel management company SampleGurus, online panels Opinion Champ and Panel Champ and media research company Coleman Insights, acquired in October 2024. dtect offers clients up-front protection against survey fraud, including AI-generated responses - it also flags up problematic human participants, and tracks the performance of sample suppliers on all these issues in real time.

Quest Mindshare is an end-to-end research execution provider offering panel access, project management, programming and hosting, qual recruitment and strategic insights. Bringing dtect formally into the company will allow the firms to embed its technology across all research engagements, providing up-front fraud blocking; visible and defensible actions meaning quality can be 'demonstrated, not just promised'; and significant reductions in post-field remediation due to 'catching bad data at the door'. The firm sees dtect as a key differentiator of its offer, and says bringing it in-house will allow it to invest more heavily in that.
