In Cincinnati, Ohio, qual research and strategy firm FeltonBuford Partners has announced the acquisition of full service qual and quant MR firm Zeldis Research Associates.
FeltonBuford was founded in 1995 and offers a range of qual approaches to deliver insights from consumers, healthcare professionals and patients. In addition to pharma and healthcare its key sectors include banking and financial services, CPG and energy / utilities. Ewing, NJ-based custom research firm Zeldis also works in health and financial services markets, as well as education and educational publishing.
FeltonBuford says the buy triples its size and resources, and creates a firm with a rich range of talent and an offering that includes in-depth interviews, focus groups, journey mapping, online bulletin boards and ethnographic research. The buy also brings sophisticated quant methodologies and analytics such as choice analysis (conjoint, DCM, MaxDiff), segmentation, perceptual mapping, regression, TURF, and pricing analysis.
Each company will continue to operate as separate, affiliated entities until their formal consolidation which is scheduled for Q1 2027. Zeldis co-founder Doris Kaiser (pictured) has joined the FeltonBuford team as an advisor to help ensure a seamless transition and eventual consolidation of the companies. She comments: 'Selling a business you've helped build over decades is ultimately about trust. Ken [Zeldis] and I trust the team at FeltonBuford. We trust them with our clients and our employees, and I am thrilled to be joining their team as we enter this next chapter together.'
Helen Buford, Senior Managing Partner of FeltonBuford, says the move is 'an exciting milestone' for both organizations. The firms say they are already working on new offers including 'innovative qual/quant and hybrid research solutions' as well as market research-focused AI platforms and applications.
