Cint in Private Hands as Sale Process Completes

August 18 2026

Cint has completed its sale to a consortium led by Triton Partners, and says it is beginning a 'new phase,' focused on accelerating innovation and investment across its research, media measurement, data and AI capabilities.

Patrick ComerThe last day of trading in Cint shares on Nasdaq Stockholm was 7th August. The company announced in May that a consortium consisting of investors Triton Fund 6 and Bolero, and Lucid founders Patrick Comer (pictured) and Brett Schnittlich, was bidding SEK 5.60 per share to acquire the company, valuing it at SEK 1,989 million or around $US 212m. Comer (pictured) is currently Cint's CEO and Schnittlich its COO. Lucid was acquired by Cint in 2021 for $1.1 billion.

Cint says the new ownership gives it the flexibility to invest faster in what customers rely on. The company will continue to fund and expand its core research and media measurement platforms while accelerating a set of priorities which it says 'matter to customers now: AI-native tools and workflows built into how research gets designed, fielded, and delivered; trusted human intelligence that is easier to access, integrate, and activate across the platforms customers already use; and new approaches to media measurement that connect exposure to outcomes so advertisers and brands can prove business impact.'

While moving in this new direction, Cint says it will maintain all ongoing operations, serving customers and partners across its research and measurement businesses 'without interruption.'

Triton Partners brings sector expertise from owning MR company Norstat between 2019 and 2024. Comer says the investment firm's backing gives Cint 'an opportunity to invest more decisively in the products, people, and partnerships that will shape the next generation of research and measurement technology.' Schnittlich says the change will leave Cint's teams feeling 'empowered to take intelligent risks,' and 'to foster an environment built on ownership, transparency, purpose, and accelerated innovation.'
