NIQ Working with OpenAI Unit to Speed Roll-Out

August 27 2026

Consumer intelligence company NIQ is collaborating with The OpenAI Deployment Company ('DeployCo') to extend its NIQ Optiq Suite, including NIQ Optiq Chat, Optiq Mobile, and Optiq Bridge. The firm says this will help it deliver its proprietary intelligence directly into clients' daily enterprise workflows.

Troy TreangenOptiq was launched in June and is described as a next-generation insights assistant and agent experience - it seems now to be branded as Optiq Chat. NIQ Optiq Bridge and Optiq Mobile were announced at the same time but will launch only in September - the former connects the firm's intelligence directly into major applications, AI-powered workflows and enterprise environments, while the latter brings Optiq's functionality directly into mobile decision-making environments.

The firm now says early September will see Optiq Chat expanded, and the other two products launched. It also continues to develop its ConnectAI technology - also launched in June - which combines with Optiq Bridge to offer dedicated NIQ forward-deployed engineering and data science support for clients to build and scale AI-enabled decision workflows inside their businesses.

NIQ says the collaboration with DeployCo will help clients access its intelligence more quickly, interact with complex information more naturally and use NIQ capabilities within the tools and workflows where they already make business decisions. The firm stresses it will not make NIQ data available to the public through ChatGPT or change NIQ's existing access requirements: its proprietary data remains governed and available only through its authorized products, client agreements, permissions and applicable security controls.

'We expect this work to help us build faster and more efficiently, but that isn't the main prize,' says Troy Treangen (pictured), Chief Product & AI Officer at NIQ. 'The bigger opportunity is helping clients get more value from NIQ intelligence and creating new ways for them to use it. When NIQ intelligence can move into more applications, systems and workflows, we expand both the value we deliver to clients and the near-term revenue opportunities for NIQ.' Adena Hefets, interim CEO of The OpenAI Deployment Company, adds: 'By bringing together DeployCo's capabilities and NIQ's domain intelligence, we can help create practical enterprise experiences that make it easier for teams to apply AI in real business workflows.'

NIQ has operations in more than 90 countries and is online at www.niq.com .
